BKWR Discussion Topics & Ask The Hosts Rules

IMPORTANT! If we receive something depicting the writing level a five-year-old, like "lol yer show is teh rox i luvs it .k .thx .hearts!1," your post, in all likelihood, will be ignored. If we can't understand it, we can't read it on the show.

The Subject Line to posts done in this sub-forum must contain one of the following prefixes to describe the post:
:police: ATH for posts for our Ask The Hosts segment.
:police: FBC for Feedback and Criticism
:police: LEH for Local Events and Happenings
          :police: MR for Music Requests
          :police: NEWS for News Articles

Examples of subject headings would be:

Quote from: Example Of Subject Lines
NEWS: Palestinians welcome EU aid deal
MR: Girls Under Glass - Minddiver
ATH: Can't sleep, clown'll eat me.
LEH: Massive snowball fight at Bannerman Park

Note: The suspected impersonation of a BlueKaffee user other than yourself will be dealt with quietly, but is considered a serious issue. IP and email cross-checking will be performed and if caught impersonating someone else, your IP will be permanantly blocked from these forums.

News Submission Rules:

:police: News Submission regulations:
:police: If you are sumbitting a news article that you feel should be discussed or read on the show, please post using the following format. The first line should read the title of the article, which links us to the page where the original article can be found, followed by the first paragraph so we can get an idea of what the article discusses (as not all titles give it away).

Quote from: Example Of Submitted News Article
Palestinians welcome EU aid deal
The Palestinian caretaker government has welcomed the European Union's offer of 120m euros ($140m; £83m) in emergency aid to keep it functioning.

:police: If you have multiple news articles to submit, we encourage you to do so in the same post. We do not have a one-post-per-story policy, but we frown upon the editing of current posts to add stories to it to avoid the risk of us not noticing the change and not being able to read the story and consider it for the next episode of the show.

Show Suggestion Rules:

:police: Any suggestions about the show will are to be posted in Our Suggestion Box. Suggestions will be discussed off-air between the hosts as time allows, and only if a suggestion is accepted will we attempt to implement it into an experimental episode. If we feel it doesn't benefit the show, we will not follow through with that particular idea.

Ask The Hosts Rules:

:police: Ask The Hosts regulations:
:police: We have a segment called 'Ask The Hosts', where you, the listener, can submit a question, whether it be signed or left anonymous, directed to either all the hosts or to one host in particular. If you want to ask a specific host a specific question, be sure to specify so at the beginning of your post.
:police: The questions can be about anything, whether it be, "Wildon, what is your favorite book?" to you asking us for advice about something that is currently happening in your life and you are seeking for some direction. If you are asking for advice, please include what you've already tried to solve your situation so we don't suggest options you've already tried.

An example would be:

Quote
Dear BKWR Crew,

My boyfriend broke up with me three weeks ago. I have tried to get over him by going to the gym more often, reading books, and even going out and hanging with my friends a lot more often than I used to, but I can't stop feeling guilty about the breakup and feel it is my fault and that it shouldn't have happened. What should I do?

:police: Note: our advice is not to be followed religiously. It is only what we, individually, feel you should do about your situation. We have no professional experience when it comes to helping others with their issues, but we all have gone through some hard times in one way or another.

Music Request Rules:

:police: Spell the artist's name and the title of the song correctly. Don't give us, "Fiddy Sent - Inn Da Klub". If we can't find the song, we can't play the song.
:police: Dedications are welcomed, but we don't want the list of your entire graduating class either. Keep it to about three names; something like, "Please dedicate this to my friends, family, and God".
:police: We will not reject a request because of a song's genre, but do not expect every requested song to be played. We do have a limited amount of time.

Local Events and Happenings Rules:

:police: Looking to promote a show your band is putting on in a week? Seen an old man get hit by a snowball? Tell us about it!
          :police: Event details must include:
                    :police: Name of Event
                    :police: Performers (if any)
                    :police: Date and Time
                    :police: Location
                    :police: Cost
                    :police: All Ages or 19+

Feedback and Criticism Rules:

:police: We accept all forms of criticism, positive or negative, as long as it makes sense. We will be reading random bits of feedback on the show, so if you would like to be credited with a piece of feedback you wrote about us, be sure to write it while signed in. Some of our recently received feedback will be read at the start of every show, but don't expect every letter to be read on air.
